Responsibilities:

• Design, set up and support of test and measurement equipment for semiconductor laser production and research and development work
• Construct free space optics, electronics, and computer controls
• Generate mechanical drawings and circuit board layouts
• Independent data analysis and presentation of results
• Develop systems and methods for testing fully processed wafers and individual laser die
• Perform optical and electrical measurements from DC to GHz frequencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with significant electronics experience
• Use of Optical measurement equipment including OSA, power meter, integrating sphere, and photodiodes
• Use of Electrical measurement equipment including current, voltage, and power meters
• Experience with LabView/GPIB software and systems is essential.
• MS Office experience, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Motion Control and Automation Experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
